Job Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll. You will be the one to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments. A payroll specialist is able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. They also have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives. The goal is to ensure personnel receive the correct compensation in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
  • Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
  • Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this
  • Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
  • Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Processing and issuing W-2 or W-2c forms to employees
  • Handle Monthly/Weekly/Bimonthly/Bi-Weekly Payroll
  • Handle Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reportings to IRS or State Gov
  • Update the payroll system with the required information
  • Take decision on going or not going with payroll when missing information
  • Provide the information to authorized personnel when requested
  • Perform the given task in the agreed timeline
  • Share the knowledge and be open to learning from others
  • Keeping client queries and responses on priority
  • Reviewing the data before entering in the system
  • Processing payrolls for different business types
  • Processing contractor payroll
  • The pivotal part of this role is to ensure that the “Sr Payroll Specialist” thrives for the team and the Manager/HOD

Qualifications:

  • A degree in accounting, business, or a related field is a plus

System requirements :

  • Internet Speed: At least 10mbps
  • Device: Laptop or desktop, Minimum Core i5 processor 8th Generation and above running Windows OS
  • Memory: A minimum of 16GB RAM
  • Storage: Minimum of 128 GB SSD or 128 GB HDD
  • Audio: A good quality headset preferably equipped with noise cancellation
  • Video: A laptop/pc with a webcam or a good-quality webcam

Working Hours: 

  • Our USA business hours include MANDATORY overlap (8:00 am to 12:00 noon Arizona time)

  • Billable teams ( Bookkeepers, Tax preparers, Customer care, and admins ) expect to work at least 50 hours per week during tax season, and weekends could be required. 
  • We need someone who is available for on-call emergencies (outside of normal working hours. Only when needed).
