Job Summary: 

As a Full-time Business Insight Team Specialist who is detail-oriented, trainable,  flexible, adaptable, and motivated. Someone who has a strong work ethic, confident, comforting in their communication with others, and can work with little to no supervision. Someone who is deeply invested in their work. Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Scrutinize financial statements, reports, and documents to identify errors, inconsistencies, and irregularities.
  • Collect necessary backup documents for the financials.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data, calculations, and transactions.
  • Review the tax organizer, ask relevant questions, and collect accurate related data from the client.
  • Prepare working papers for the tax preparer. 
  • Research various tax topics and communicate findings to clients/teams.
  • Helping clients with documents, questions, and issues.
  • Communication with clients/government agencies / other staff.
  • Manage client communications (talk to clients, provide the list of missing information, answer their questions, coordinate meetings with other team members).
  • Review and identify if the entity complies with the 1099 requirements. 
  • Deep internal communication with Seniors and your team (exmp: something in the books looks “weird” and the client cannot explain).
  • Any other tasks assigned by the management.
    (Minimum of 40 hours/week; during tax season-Min 50 hours/week )

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Basic exposure to the US Federal and State tax law specifically
    • 1099s,
    • reconciliations,
    • payroll,
    • retirement accounts,
    • types of entity, EIN,
    • types of tax return
    • complete awareness of tax deadlines
  • CPA/CA/EA/ACCA background with a strong knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks (online and desktop versions), G-Sheets, and PDF editing
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in reviewing financials
  • Fluency  in English communication, both written and verbal
  • Qualities of a self-starter 
  • High attention to detail
  • Fast learner qualities
  • High sense of integrity 
  • A Team Player & Can-Do-It / Get-It-Done attitude
  • A focus on learning and growth
  • USA Tax preparation experience is a plus
  • Previous work experience for a CPA firm, auditing companies, The Big Four, banks, and financial institutions is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Xero, FreshBooks, and Zoho Books are a plus

System requirements :

  • internet Speed: At least 10mbps

Working hours:

In this position a mandatory overlap of 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM AZ is required. Business Hours are Arizona Time. The minimum and non-negotiable requirement is 40 hours a week, which may include possible weekend shifts, mandatory meetings, training, and events with staff and clients. You may be called upon to assist other teams when needed.  

During tax season, the minimum requirement is 50 hours per week, fluctuation of hours up to  60 hours/week is expected.
